I've shamelessly stolen the idea for this picture from Catscratch...
It's Friday and I'm off work for a week (Helena's coming to stay). I'd hang around and write a long involved post, but I've only about 40 pages of my book left to read (I still haven't a clue whodunnit), and that beer's going to get warm if I don't drink it soon, which would be a waste, I'm sure you'll agree.
Enjoy your Friday evening!

Awwww.. It's not shameless!! It's sharing a frosty cold deliciously mind intoxicating beverage with your friends.
Hope it was tasty! Hope the book was awesome! And hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Catscratch:
Thankyou! The book was amazing - I can certainly recommend it (and the beer).
Since you finished your book, may I recommend The Book Thief? I realize I am several years late falling in love with it, so maybe you've already read it. Dunno.
And what in the name of all that is British are you doing drinking a cold beer? Isn't it the whole point to drink them warm? Or did I just say something countryist?
Looks yummy, me I'm on my way down stairs for some mom made spaghetti but I'll have a Corona instead of vanilla coke in your name! ;o)
Laurie:
I'll keep that in mind - it certainly looks interesting, though I notice that they don't appear to have brought out a Greek translation yet.
I've a whole pile to read at the moment. The next one is "Strangers on a Train", which I've been meaning to read for years.
Real ale shouldn't be chilled below normal cellar temperature, but not even the British want to drink warm lager.
Since this is a blog written by a Brit but read exclusively by North Americans, countryism is positively encouraged ;-)
Bee:
Bon Apetit! I had spaghetti this evening, but I'm sure yours will be much better.
Have a nice vacation or "holiday"
I need some beer.
Beer is always better cold. I've never had it with books, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I have so many books to read right now, though, so I fear it may turn me into a raving drunk!
Enjoy your week!
Dan:
Thankyou.
FADKOG:
The only way to make enough time to read the books is to combine it with drinking, at least that's what I find...
I like my chocolate milk icy cold. ahhhhhh!
Jean Knee:
That's definitely the only way to have it. Which reminds me - I must get some...
Eleven bottles of beer on the wall!
Eleven bottles of beer.
You take one down, pass it around,
Then you have Tracy as
11th in the comments again!
I wish I could have a good cold beer. This medication that I'm on now I can't drink. And beer was my favorite thing in the world.
Drink one for me too, will you please Brian?
Tracy:
Brilliant!
That's crap about the drinking thing. Have you tried the alcohol free beer?
I'll drink another one for you...
