Wordy Wednesday

Highlights for Busy Readers

I'll keep this short, as I know you're all very busy. Jean Knee's crusading against starvation and boredom, Tracy has a puppy trashing her house, Bee is traumatised from misshapen models' arms thrusting chocolate at her, and Dan is so busy he's not posted all week - he's probably taking a crash course in horse riding.

Crash!

Thought so...

Great Guns

We watched the Laurel and Hardy wartime film Great Guns at the weekend. Considering it's one of those propaganda films about joining the army to help Uncle Sam, it's not bad, though I suspect Uncle Sam would be better off without L&H...

That's a lot of Dirty Dishes

A restaurant in Syria has just entered the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest in the world, with 6014 covers. I bet they wouldn't notice the odd stolen plate, Jean Knee. Apparently one chef can produce 25-30 portions of houmous in a minute. Helena and I should go there, perhaps.

Changeable

The weather yesterday was so wet that people were worried we'd get flooding. Then today it's been gloriously sunny - I didn't even wear my coat. Which I suppose averages out to drizzle, or something.

There's much more I could say, but instead I'm off to the pub. See you later...

Hey man, that deformed hand is hella scary!

I never thought of using the excuse to enter the Guinness Book of Records to not do the dishes... I shall ponder!

Have fun at the pub and have a shot of something for me.

Unless you're working in a restaurant with more than 6014 covers, you won't beat that particular record.

I wonder if there's a record for the amount of times a particular item of crockery or cutlery has been used without being washed? If so, it's almost certain to be a mug...

did you see that thing on dateline where the maids in hotels squirt glass cleaner (not to be consumed) on the drinking glasses and then rinse and put back??? ewww

I was going to return that plate to be a good example to my kid. Oh well

That hand was wicked

prolly won't rain here again until October. it's hot

Jean Knee:

Maybe next time I stay in a hotel I'll wash my own glasses...

Dan:

I'm glad that you haven't been trampled by a horse or something...

Ok, I can't figure out what hand you all are talking about. What am I missing? Where's this hand??

I want to go to a pub. When you give me that tour Brian will you take me to a pub? We can go to the pub, have a pint, and make prank phone calls on the tele. Won't that be fun?

Oh are we talking about the models hand that almost slapped Bee in the face with a Milky Way?

Ok, I've never been accused of being the brightest bulb in the packet.

But I am 11th!!!!

Tracy:

Congratulations at being 11th and getting the hand thing right.

The tour would of course have to include at least one pub. Come to think of it, I've not been on a pub crawl for years...

You've also given me two ideas for posts, which I'll hopefully get done at the weekend.
